I like conti terra trail. They were pretty affordable so gave them a go and been pretty pleased

Oh I came here at the right time! Cannot overstate (well technically I can) how good the Conti Terra Trails are. Yeah they cost me a bit and came from Italy (Lordgun), but I've been using them on gravel, road, mud, commutes etc. The 40mm measured up closer to 38-39mm on rims with an internal width of 20mm.
They were easy to set up tubeless (no faff, track pump), and stayed sealed even after denting my rim quite badly.
They're fast like everyone said, to the point I took them on a solo road ride with a fair few climbs but kept to my normal pace without much extra effort.

I've used them on the road too and they don't feel sluggish at all for their 45c size
-

Thanks for the offer but I think I'll stick with the Victoria! Sounds like a good deal but maybe not quite what I'm after having done a little bit more reading.

I love my Terra Trail off-road (650b x 47) but they’re not quick on tarmac
-
• #10382
Yeah, I was quite surprised considering other similar tyres I've used (Gravelking SK, Vittoria Terreno Zero, Specialized Roubaix). I regret not getting 45c. On paper, my frame allows up to 43mm, but given the Contis came up small.

Specialized pathfinder rear and tracer front is what I'm fitting to customers RN. They come super big and not too expensive, good grip, hard wearing and fast enough.
I'd probably go for Pirelli gravel M or something similar if the plan is UK SFAB though, most gravel tires are useless with the tiniest bit of mud. -

I wouldn't be getting cinturato again they are absolute slugs.

does anyone have real world experience of strada bianca non-tubeless? looking for all year round riding plus some accidental gravel excursions. 33 or 36mm.

I “need” some reasonably priced 26” tubeless commuter tyres.
26 x 1.75 pls -
• #10387
I have a set that was selling over a year ago and know one took up the offer . I will find the package again .
-
• #10388
I had some years ago and they punctured all the time. They may have improved the compound now though.

I tried them in 30s a few years ago. Boutique, pretty, non vulcanised old school tyres, i didn't find them especially robust. Before GP5Ks were invented, they were the worst tyres to fit. Had to warm them on the radiator.

Yep, I have some 30s on my winter/commuter bike.
Plus side: fast, comfy and look great. Minus side: cut up very easily and horrible to fit first time. I'll probably switch back to Corsa Control when the time comes. -
• #10391
How reasonable is reasonable?
-
• #10392
A pair of tyres for £30-50 is ok.

Don't look any further than Contact Urbans then. I'll sing their praises to anyone that'll listen!

One of my GravelKing slicks has delaminated (long 'bubbles' between tread and carcass) after less than 2000km. Is there anything else I should consider before replacing like for like?
Requirements:
- slick or very close to (used for rubbish backroad and lane riding rather than off-road)
- 700 x 38-40c
- tubeless
- <£50 tyre ideally
- light and fast rolling more of a priority than puncture protection
Vittoria Terreno Zeros or Terravail Ramparts were the two ones I've come across in my search.
- slick or very close to (used for rubbish backroad and lane riding rather than off-road)

will avoid!

Terravail Ramparts are great.
-
• #10397
All that has been already said above. Big cut on one on the first ride.
However, I did ride the length of the Pyrenees on them, offroad, with tubes, and only had very few punctures (motly pinch flats). Ahh, 2019, when 36mm were offroad tyres. -
• #10398
Long shot, does anyone fancy a pair of Terravail Ramparts (light and supple flavour I believe) in 700x32c for the same in 700xbigger flavour? Mine are black but happy with tan walls too.

• #10399
I have the large in black that can go!

Oh nice, which size? And would you be up for a swap or would you just want to sell?
£60 for the pair including tracked postage. They're basically £100 each new. Done about 400 miles or so
