What speed of Ethernet cable should I get for my WFH router? Not doing any overly heavy lifting, in a digital sense. Just video calls and documents.

Cat5e will be plenty
Cat6 maybe for a bit of future proofing if the cost is similar -

Will I feel any benefits on a full gas 5miles sporting course, not a TT, definitely not a TT ride if I make a disc to fill in the spokes on the rear wheel of this? I need to lose 20seconds some how and any gains would help

Presumably a carbon disc, to keep the added mass ALARP? You’re bound to see a benefit but 00:20 seems like a lot over 5 miles. Where else can you improve your aero? Clothing? Removing unnecessary bar tape?

Just had a check and it actually only 12 seconds I need to lose.
I was going to just make a disc out of a for sale board :)
I have some nice SWorks aerofly bars to drop on which will stretch me out a little bit as well and will don my too tight bibs and top. Maybe pull my socks up?
I know I’m really just going to have to get fitter aren’t I!
But it’s only + point 4 mph average I have to magic up. -

I need to lose 20seconds
4s per mile is a big gain, it's quite likely that the difference between your wheel and your wheel with the hole filled in will be less than 1s per mile, and entirely possible that it will be negative.

I know I’m really going to have to get stronger, but just looking for a bit of help as well.

I’d give it a go with the plastic board if that’s what you have. Could also shave your body hair, and get aero socks and shoe covers. Those are relatively affordable marginal gains opportunities. A freshly waxed and broken-in chain and regreased bearings would help too, and making sure wheel is true and taut.

Wasn't there that spesh wind tunnel video doing the rounds years ago proving that leg shaving is actually worth it?
I'm sure they had other things that provided benefits.

70s per 40km, so potentially all of the 12s/8km Chaley is looking for

Where (in London) can I buy a large quantity (100+) foldback clips / binder clips today? Specifically they need to be medium (25-30mm) white or small silver. Staples and Office Depot no longer exist. WHSmith only do black and multicoloured. Rymans don't have. Spent yesterday hunting online and found that surprisingly sparse. Staples used to do the small silver ones in tubs of 100 or 200, I just need one of those...

But I’m like a hairy monkey, where would I stop?

Where your knicks start. Then you have a nice hairy pair of boxer shorts (further up and you risk itchy bits).
Commit.

To be honest I think I’m on a hiding to nothing here anyway. All I want to do is beat my time on a 5.2mile loop that I’ve ridden tons. The issue is I set that time on my road bike (1x 50t 11>28) I said I could beat it fixed. I went out last night and it’s now down to only 9 seconds no mods. It’s the 40mph+ drop and then the climb back up that are the killers I just can’t match them fixed. I’ve not ridden the road bike this year in fear of putting it further out of reach :/
Thanks for the input everyone please send legs. -

As above, your shave horizon should look like hairy shorts.
Also a good opportunity to do a gun check while they’re out their covers.

One for the machinists / makers.
How much might it cost to get something like one of these made, and where might I do it?

Put a bigger gear on, pedal harder.

Tell me about it! I’ve gone to 48x14 any bigger and I won’t get up the bump. At the moment, send legs!
