  • If you’re looking for an all-in-one set up that’s easy to transport then something like the ChauvetDJ Gig Bar could work. Also get a fair bit of light for your money vs buying them all separate, but then you can’t build your own kit as easily to get exactly what you want.

  • Thanks for the advice, all! 🙏

  • Hey amigos,
Is there anyone amongst us who is a working producer / engineer? I'd love to have a bit of a chat with someone to further my ongoing midlife crisis :)

  • Rushed out a first release in the hope it would light a fire under our arses to rehearse so we can go out and play live. I'm still not 100% with it but it is what it is!

  • Working in a paid-for capacity no, but run several volunteer groups/theatre/festivals for live sound and sound engineering. Happy to have a chat if that’s the kinda thing you’re looking for?

  • Hi folks.
I won a €50 voucher redeemable against the 3x Bastl Kastle set (https://shop.bastl-instruments.com/home/3x-bastl-kastle-bitwig-8-track-bundle.html).
I won’t be using it, so if anyone here would like it (for free), let me know.

  • Continuing my desperate scrabble for cash this month, I'm offering any one of my six remaining Moogerfooger pedals for £400, which is a good price going by current eBay prices.
I have all except the 104m delay still.
Message me if you're after one.

  • My band had our first gig at the weekend and went really well. My first gig since school so was worried I'd be absolutely bricking it and have a mind blank on stage but felt pretty chilled all day and only made a couple of mistakes which was bound to happen. Even the song that I sing (shout) that we only decided to finish and include at the last practice before the gig went well. Looking forward to getting the next one sorted out, think we sold the required 10 pre-gig tickets for the booking company to offer us another date at least.

  • You getting out of production mate?

  • Long story, but I haven't made anything much for a few years now due to health reasons.

I have a lot more stuff than this but it's stuff that I'm more reluctant to part with for the time being. Lots of eurorack that I'm willing to sell though, if you're interested I can give you a list.

  • Sorry to hear that mate. Would definitely like to see a list when you have time.

  • Pretty much anything in here for a start

  • OK

    Possibly Pons
    Ochd

Can you give me a rundown on some of the 1U modules? I'm now in a 7U Befaco case and looking for utilities!

  • Pons is yours if you want it, I'll PM you with a price suggestion. Ochd I love, I'm still deciding what if anything to keep, I'll sleep on that one!

A lot of the 1U modules are quite specific to the Intellijel Palette case. Eg top case, the left is the output module that brings the signal down to line level and interfaces with the quarter inch jacks on the case. Also next, the Steppy 1U, that uses the USB/TRS midi in from the case. Third and fourth aren't dependent on the case, you have a dual attenuator / inverter, and then the little Zeroscope 1U which is an oscilloscope but also a really useful tuner. I may also keep that.

Black case, there a USB power source that's just for a lamp, then the pressure pad trigger, then a stereo mixer, a 1U dual VCA, and then the last two modules are a guitar pedal send/return (the controls and then the external interface).

To be honest going through this makes me remember how much time and effort it was to design the system! Still mulling this one over. But the Pons, definitely, and all the other stuff I listed before.

  • You do you to be fair. If you're not sure there is no pressure 👍

  • Hey, it’s my ugly mug alongside my production partner Paul doing live improvised Techno 😊

  • Really nice!

The beginning instantly reminded me of this:

  • Thanks!

Yeah it does a bit! We've got a second set coming out probably September, that starts and ends with Supertanskii saying 'Dystopia warning...... obviously' 😝

  • Remember to post it up!

  • Will do 👌

  • passes the "drop into at a random point - what does it sound like?" test.
    Doing the full listen now.
    (good stuff)

  • I really enjoyed that.
