What time is it? Watches and horology

Yeah the pricing is a joke, as we seem to be saying every week now. There's definitely a reckoning coming. Maybe it's already here hence brands pivoting to more gold watches aimed at the people less affected by the cost of living.

Manga G Shocks are available, i know there was some traction on here.
I'm not a fan of the GA2100 in any guise

I love the concept but i don't think my brain could handle looking at those manga G's.

I am, but I'm good for 2100 variants (all black; clear bezel and strap; green solar) until they do a full titanium one.

My other half has two of the smaller GMA-S2100s and likes them a lot.

I’m pleased that it follows the pattern of all the other actual hands-on reviews so far, which have been very complimentary about the quality. Hopefully that is going to be really helpful in swaying people who have been doubting the price/value prop.

I quite fancy a single hand watch, but cannot afford a Meistersinger.

Found this Fawler, the "brand" means nothing to me, its quartz with a sapphire crystal.
No mention on the movement so assume cheap and cheerful.

Reliable Japanese movement

I've been patiently waiting for the manga G-Shock to be released in the UK. All of a sudden it's arrived and sold out and sundry knob jockeys on ebay are wanting £250 for a £139 watch.

Seen this. Looks cool.

I'd have to say I prefer my 2017 iteration.
I do like the overall improvement in refinement of the size and less severe shape to the case side. However the dial is looking a bit of a mish mash now, it's lost it's character. And the handset... No more 12:00 rocket ship!

Best of the Cerachrom GMTs by a mile for me.

Was stunning IRL, not too flashy, without being boring like the first all black cerachrom GMT, told the sale manager I would love to own one.. will see..
