Has anyone returned/exchanged things under warranty at Toolstation?
Got a little electric screwdriver before Christmas. It stopped working pretty soon but I was too busy/lazy to take it back. Website shows 1 year warranty. Finally took it back this week and had to revisit when a manager was there, he tried to process it but apparently after 6 months their computer says no and I have to contact B&D directly to claim on the warranty (annoyingly it's been 6 mo 2 days but there we go).
I can't imagine it'll be worth sending a £20 budget tool back to B&D but I'd probably rather do that than have a non-functioning piece of junk.
Is this correct? The warranty is with the manufacturer not the retailer?
I took an 11 month old fucked (I mean completely ragged, I DID NOT look after that thing) RO sander back to Toolstation in Norbury, caked in plaster dust and with only my digital receipt in my account/app. Swapped it out for new with zero questions. Likely branch dependent.
