I'll second @Nef, kilo of YB espresso.
You might save a few quid on supermarket beans but I find they behave real differently to speciality, even the better/fresher ones. That means savings are offset by extending dialling in once you switch back.
Is there a reliable, easily obtainable and not too expensive coffee that people recommend for dialling in espresso? I have a gaggia classic modded to 6 bar and a timemore sculptor 64s and I'm going through a lot of beans as I get my eye in and surmount various teething problems...
