  • Trump unlikely to offer him a cabinet position in an election he will likely lose?

  • I don't have tweet capability. Care to summarise?

  • semi-doxxing a labour volunteer and the sort of egotistical language of it all isnt a sign of a competent politician

  • Thing is, I don't think he wants to be an MP. Too much grift with Trump to be enjoyed. But on the other hand he would enjoy doing the debates, so maybe will be becoming joint leader with Tice or something.

  • Maybe she's not actually registered there a la Angela Rayner 🤔

  • One of the few issues they can't be accused of fucking up since they've been in power?

  • He's already said the US election is more important.

  • Farage to lead Reform UK, it’s not yet clear if he’ll actually run for Parliament.

  • Fifteen minutes of him and Tice waffling to find out it is Clacton.

FT earlier ran with speculation he'd try Clacton as January polling had it as the only constituency Reform could win, if he was candidate.

  • presumably he's is now the "leader" so that he can take part in the debates. I don't think he's going to stand as a candidate (because it's a lot of work and he'll probably lose again)

edit: oh is he running? I stopped listening too early I guess

  • Clacton it is, maybe he smells the chance of coalition and deputy pm or Home Secretary

  • Or post election, merge reform into the Tories and become pm.

  • Apparently Reform are only slated for the one debate with all parties so won't see too much of him I hope.

  • They’re third in the polls, he can use that to lobby for a place in some of the others.

  • Dear god I hope the right vote gets split and a tactical vote candidate wins Clacton.

  • Unfortunately I think Farage has done his homework and this is the best chance he'll have of being elected to Parliament.

  • If he can get some of the voters who are leaning toward Labour to swing to reform, the reform Tory coalition is on. Deputy pm for six months then out with Rishi and Farage for PM.

    #tapsnose

  • Good grief, the man who has been involved in politics for 30 years honking on about “the career political class”

  • Pure populism

  • It does baffle me why the media keep referring to Reform as a party rather than a company.

  • "He's such a details* guy"

*name of the shoe is printed on the side of the shoe

  • I guess he means he's not Oxbridge>researcher>Spad>MP and had a real job once.

But you're right that was quite a long time ago now.

I wonder if he'd put David Davis or even Starmer (the son of a tool maker) in the category of "career political class”.

  • Eighth time (un)lucky ?

  • By that definition, Sunak, Truss, Johnson, May and Cameron aren’t “careers politicians” so who the fuck is he referring to? Probably civil servants/the deep state.
