In Australia you'll get lynched if you throw those fuckers back.
I couldn't believe crap fishing, sorry, carp fishing was such a big thing here. Then again, all the rivers here are filled with shit, so maybe it's appropriate.

waves
Probably still cheaper than your disgusting triathlon habit :P
-
• #7761
Yeah that wasn't the best call out. Triathlon race entries alone are pretty golf club now although in my defence I am still on 10sp and rim brakes
-

I am still on 10sp and rim brakes
You say that like it's a bad thing. If someone gave me a disc brake Shiv I'd ride it, but I'm not fucking buying one!
-
• #7763
Absolutely not a bad thing just disc brakes on TT bikes have more Golf club membership points for the money than performance benefits
-
• #7764
What if the TT bike was being used for, say, a LEJOG record rather than some namby pamby Ironman though? :0)
-
• #7765
Isn't the LEJOG record still on a rim brake shiv? Or is that the point your making
-
• #7766
It is. My point was more about disc brakes being more useful for (certain fat bastards on) varied terrain than flat out and back courses next to a beach.
-
• #7767
The Brits hold big fat things which were originally imported from foreign lands in high esteem. This partially explains the popularity of carp and yourself.
-
• #7768
Ha!
-
• #7769
Fair point and although I'm only 65 kg at the moment if I don't win My AG at Eastbourne in a couple of weeks I'm blaming it on the brakes
-
• #7770
I have hydro rim brakes on my Shiv for the simple reason that the other brakes didn't really do a very good job at stopping me and when I need to stop, I need to fucking STOP.
If it was 10 years ago, I'd not hesitate to get a disc brake TT bike, but I'll probably never buy another TT bike so the rim brake Shiv is fine.
