Ah ok. I had that problem too and gave up and mounted the light under the saddle instead to keep it out the way, running the cable through the seatpost and out the top with a bit of elastic to give it some tension when folded.
Does seem to be a flaw of the aftermarket racks that there isn’t a good light mounting point unlike the official rack :(

It's the H+H rack, so only has wheels at the rear (the upgraded Brompton Ezy wheels), and I have a rear light mounted to the plate provided (B+M top light mini). The tip of the light catches on the tactile dots and it's pretty smashed by now.
