I don't think any England manager could do better with these players. National pride distorts the perception of how good they really are and how good a squad we have. There's also 1 tournament every 2 years so the odds of winning a title are low.
Also there's harry kane's genetic disposition to reject trophies

Sure, but any other manager would be 20 points ahead etc.
If he wins the Euros I'll give him a pass, but he has till now woefully underused the talent available. And perhaps that is 'sensible tournament football' but I can't help but feel that England could have been much, much better over the last few years under a better manager.
Ideally I'd like him to go to Utd for next season.
