Stem shim as an option if you get 25.4mm bars?

The ITM stem is 25.4mm. It opened up to 26.0 fine - one of the many benefits of steel.

I've got a set of Cinelli bars and stem I took off the Eddie McGrath. I'll check if they are 65's

I've got loads of 65s, but the ungrooved ones are all 26.4mm unfortunately

I have a set of Ambrosio 13 Volte Campione del Mondo bars that might be suitable. They have the 26mm clamp size, no cable grooves and a bend that looks like that on the Cinelli Criterium bars you'll likely know of. Any good? Can send some pics.

Thanks @walkmanman. Interested in a pic or two. Cheers.

Sure, although I should mention that the bars I told you about are another set I found whilst searching for the ones I eventually found and gave you the description for (the Ambrosio bars were nice track bend ones but unfortunately had a Cinelli 26.4mm slamp size!). The actual ones matching my description are by Belleri. I took these pics earlier today:

Thanks. I did find a pic of those Ambrosios on Velobase. Pretty cool bend! Unusual that they followed Cinelli specs.
Those Belleri bars are rather nice, but I think a bit too early for the Argos, . Seems a shame to take off that leather covering, too. (If it were yellow leather, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.)
Thanks again.

Okey dokey, well I'm sure you'll find something from around the time of your Argos. Don't think I have anything else though.
The 3ttt pista bars I'm using have too much drop for my Argos. Cinelli 65s would be ideal, but I'm stuck with a stem that will take 26.0mm max. Nitto B125s have slightly less drop, but the clamp area is too narrow for the stem.
Anyone got anything else suitable? Pista or criterium style, ideally. No cable grooves, obvs.
