I’ve had a 2006 Volvo XC70 2.5T in E10 for 8 years.
First registered in November 2005, so is in the sweet-spot of ULEZ compliance and cheap(er) road tax.
It’s quite juicy on fuel, and in the last 2 years I’ve replaced the gearbox valve body, cambelt & tensioners, and a few suspension components which were pricey, but it’s done 160K miles and I paid £2K for it in 2016 so…
It’s cavernous and we regularly use all the space… in fact, we’re currently on holiday in France with it full of 4x full-size humans and our 9-month old sprog, boot and roof box completely packed. Comfy and smooth.

I know it's a bad idea, but can anyone chime in on owning a big volvo estate in London? Currently I'm in a Fiat 500, but I have aspirations of looking really really cool.
