  • Lightweight or car camping? If car camping I don’t think you can beat a classic canvas bell tent; heavy, pain to put up but exceedingly luxurious and spacious. Borrowed/used a few but can’t remember specific brands I’m afraid.

I noticed Alpkit have one. No personal experience of this but other Alpkit stuff I have is decent enough https://alpkit.com/products/roundhouse

  • pain to put up

On the contrary. Simply peg out the base, put Central pole in, then door a-frame shaper, then peg out guys = a doddle. So much easier than the other tents we'd had

Yes it in hot in sunshine @user16171 so the zip out base/sides is useful albeit pricier. Our is roomy enough to stand in without wirry of being near the pole, I'm 6ft2 btw. No leaks to date either.

It is heavy but no bother when car camping, drying out once home is an issue if rainy pack down day as we don't have a big space to do that in.

  • Fair re set up, maybe just comparing it to my usual ultralight options which are walking poles or maybe a single hooped pole which set up in minutes.

Agree it’s no worse than any other big multi person/multi compartment poled tent
