it was so nice to meet you Hayley and co., very nice vibes at Burgess
Hello!
Hayley here from Community Cycleworks.
We are hosting an emergency/last-min jumble sale on Saturday 25th May, to clear out the old workshop ahead of its closure next Friday. We don't want to scrap lots of usable bike parts and frames etc!
A heads up: they’re all secondhand, various conditions (cosmetic damage etc) but usable. Think pub/beater/rat bike style. If you’ve got a project you want to finish, and need a cheap part, this could be perfect.
It will be hosted in the tarmac area round the back of the old workshop (285 Albany Rd, SE17 5AH), on the BMX track side - https://what3words.com/decent.blasts.hits
Likely 16:30-18:30, or until most parts are gone.
There will be (somewhat) organised piles of bike parts, frames, forks, wheels, tyres, and project bikes to get rid of, grouped by price, £1/2/3/5/10, and higher priced items will be tagged/labelled accordingly.
Frames and project bikes will likely be £10/20/30/40/50 unless otherwise specified.
We are also asking round local/London/Sussex/Surrey-based bike projects to see if the parts are of use to anyone. If you know anyone or an organisation that would love to take secondhand parts, please let me know.
