Putting the Gone Badgering thread on ignore made the page work again. After removing it from ignore, I can now still see the Today page but get the same error as you where that thread should be listed

The comment editing still needs a bit of work. You can edit the text of course, and add attachments, but you can't remove existing attachments for now.

Don't know if it's just me but my Today page has died again. Nothing but an exclamation mark
Edit: (I can do that now!) I restarted the app and it's fixed so probably was just me

The app caches requests in memory for a little while, and I guess the LFGSS server sent some garbage which got cached, and then the app didn't bother trying to retrieve it again.

That's good to know. I'll add some more error checking in.

I've got a bug on threads with several images, using the horizontal large layout. I can scroll through the images to the right but when trying to scroll back to the left, they bug out, jump all over the place and don't let me go left. I did a quick screen recording but the forum isn't playing nice letting me upload an mp4

I know what you're talking about - I've also seen it happen when scrolling through old threads that are hot-linking images that don't exist anymore.

I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it yet, but I'm working on it

Phone upgrade yesterday to a lovely new Pixel 8a.

Now the LFGSS app wont open. It immediately crashes.

that could've been because the site was down at the time... is it working now?

That was my first thought.

But a) it crashed too quickly, before a timeout and
b) it's still not working.

That's going to be a tricky one. There's no telemetry in the app, so I don't get crash reports.

Could you try the following:

a) Settings > Apps > LFGSS > Storage, then clear storage and cache. I doubt there's anything to clear, and if there was, I doubt clearing it would help, but just incase migrating phones brought some corrupted files across...

b) try deleting the app and reinstalling. Again, I doubt it'll work, but I don't have any better ideas right now

Done both of those already ( not my first rodeo ).

Alternatively, after half term I could get it running in debug in A Studio and see what I can see.

So, I've had a new version of the app sat in "internal testing" for a few days. It's fine, so I've just promoted it to production. It should come through in an hour or two. It's only got minor tweaks in it - the biggest change is that I bumped a bunch of dependencies.

Again, I doubt it's going to fix anything but it's worth a shot.

In other news, while I was digging around in the Google Play console, I found that google does actually collect some information about crashes. As far as I can tell, the bug is coming from something outside of the Flutter framework. ChatGPT has offered some analysis and I'll have to take a look later today

I did a "copy over" setup of this Pixel 8a, rather than a clean install. Maybe that was a bad idea.

Not an unusual case though.
