• @dammit having seen your news in the 911 thread, do you fancy using your impending spare time to take on my fun little project?

Also, and more importantly, I hope you're cool?

  • What kind of voltage is the groupset i know there are some electric cables used for lighting and LED systems that are pretty slim and have transparent sleeving.
I mean depends how far you want to go with all this, tbh i would just find and old TCR or something at this point!

  • I think we could be onto a winner with this silliness. Worth the trouble IMO

What kind of voltage is the groupset

I would guess there's only one cell in the 'battery' (quotes because a battery is technically two or more cells), which would have 3.7-4.2V depending on charge level, but that's most likely stepped up and regulated to 5V, because a lot of electronic stuff is intended to run on that. That's why 5V is the standard voltage on USB.

Can't believe I never checked that while I was going the hack on my Di2...

...I guess there's a chance it could be 12V if that was deemed necessary to run the derailer servos with sufficient oomph, but unlikely... If that was the case, it might mean two or three cells in the battery, with a significantly lower aH rating.
