Cotter pins won’t seat, despite machining a press that should have assisted
Ruined the pins as a result

Setting up a stem and bars and discover the fork blades are borked so nothing aligns on a

Try and remove another build BB but the threads are (now, lolz) clearly fucked
Have a pair of BB sockets but need bolts to tighten up for purchase between each face, but don’t have the bolt thread/tpi (but I do. Somewhere. In a fuckin box. In a fuckin place)
Gave up and switched to another bb seizure frame project and that now needs fizzyBleach treatments
And now all this is parked because neighbour needs help with some shit or other and I need to get some freelance work (as in work done for free m) done before tomorrow

Just... wow

Just discovered that a former flatmate's husband is in prison for trying to get underage girls in a chatroom to meet him for sex. The judge called him 'utterly corrupt' (page 10 https://www.mpts-uk.org/-/media/mpts-rod-files/dr-andrew-groves-21-december-2023.pdf ) .

He was a Wing Commander and a doctor in the RAF Medical Branch. I always thought he'd be thrown out of the RAF if he ever revealed what went on in his head. The flatmate was an ignorant Russian, fearful of everything, and he deliberately kept her that way. We had a stand-up row when he told me not to have black or trans guests because they all have Aids and she would catch it off the loo seat. He was a 6'4" bodybuilder the size of Everest, breakfasting on protein shakes, she was under 5 ft. I suppose he liked to think of her as his child sex slave. (He said he was the 'Master' of one of the girls in the chatroom.)

When I knew him he was a lowly Flt. Lt., which is the rank that every doctor starts at. It's a bit of a headscratcher that he made it to Wing Commander. I thought they'd cotton on to his weirdness much sooner, maybe if he let slip his views on the hazards of going near the blood of a black person.
