  • I'm building up a supersix hi-mod evo and planning to run tubeless gp5000 str 28c tyres on it.

For wheels I'm thinking of going Light Bicycle and wondering on the most suitable rims based on external width? I'm looking at Light Bicycle AR465 (28mm external) and Light Bicycle WR40 (32mm external)

  • I'd do the 32mm external option if you are confident you'd never want to run a 25c or narrower. My Hollowgram Knit 64's are 32 ext. Iirc they are hooked yeah?

  • Yes the two LB rims are both hooked. I don't think I'd ride hooked TBH. Its for himod frame that originally comes with 21 int/32mm ext hollowgram wheels whereas the LB WR 40 rims are 25int/32mm ext. Is that extra 4mm internally going to make a difference? LB wheels will end up half the price and 200g lighter.
