sorry i was busy making keir starmer memes, it's actually my old bike
(just the frame)
(@yoshy doesn't want it anymore)
(the rest of the bits are long gone, i'll need wheels, cranks and a chain, maybe i have some in the cupboard)
(i also need to help @yoshy get it down from manchester first)
it's remarkably underwhelming im sure, but will be fun to ride around on this summer

Summer 2024, Make fixxies fun again.
-
• #3938
sorry did someone say my name? ahem fixies have always been fun
-
• #3939
fixies have always been fun but depending on the year it hasn't always been cool to be seen on them which is sadly the deciding factor in our vanity culture
had a dig around and have way more than expected to build it - just need wheels, bb and chain, maybe a short pull lever or i might bodge a cross top i have ... foot retention maybe too

The all city nature boy was honestly a favourite of mine. You'll love it.

im excited for it!
means i need to buy a couple more parts to get it rolling about:
Vbrakes
Vbrake levers
tyres (i might have some in the cupboard? if i haven't given them away)this is in addition to the remaining parts:
chain
68x103 bb (i think this is what the old langster cranks need?)
pedalsbut it has got me tempted to build the bike up single speed with the white industries free wheel i still have knocking around.
The bike itself is the 52cm one, which bike insights re-assures me is the same size as the 56 cross check i used to have but a little shorter tt, which is good news.
might need to source some new handlebars with a bit of rise i'm undecided - i have a few sets in the cupboard but none really fit the bill for sweep x rise x width.

nice.
track dropouts are so hot right nowthere's stooge bars with oury grips in the classifieds. i know nothing about this sort of thing but they look pretty cool

was tempted by these but ultimately it will be something much narrower and cheaper i think , would be nice to be able to filter the odd bit of traffic.
maybe these

Let me have a look to see what I can send your way H.
I think I have some narrowish Thorn alu risers which look similar to that, in silver?
