How would I find out the difference in reach between SRAM Apex mechanical hoods and some Shimano 7100 hoods if I don't have the SRAM hoods anymore?

This question is really perplexing me.
Some time ago I heard a cover of The National's track "Bloodbuzz Ohio" by a female singer. At the time, I didn't realise that it was a cover.
Months later I heard The National's original version, on High Violet, and realised.that the track I'd heard before was a cover of it.
Now for the life of me I can't find the cover version. I've sear hed Room and Tidal to no avail.
Does this ring any bells for anyone?
Edit - it isn't the SOAK or Sophie Morgan versions.

Julia Stone did a cover. Maybe that one?
-

Julia Stone
awesome - that's the one! Thank you.
not sure why it doesn't come up in searches.
edit - for some reason that album (By The Horns) is no longer on Tidal which is why I wasn't finding it.

the rear pannier rack on my occasional commuter is getting very worn down. Thinking of giving it a respray to make it look a bit nicer.
Are there any recommendations for spray paint that'll do a nice job, and not be too flaky. Expecting wear to appear again, just slowly.I'd get a can of what the graffiti artists use - good value for money, nice colours.
Belton Molotow Premium for example (satin finish), or Montana Hardcore (glossy).Sand lightly, then apply two or three light coats of paint 👍

Using rim brake carbon rims on disc brake hubs, in principle, safe or stupid?
-
• #122010
Great, thanks
-

I’ll let our resident experts confirm, but I would think absolutely fine. A rim brake rim is reinforced (brake track) and I think the main concern with disc brakes is that the fork/frame is up to the job.

Haven't taken a Eurostar train to Paris for years and have questions
- Online it says to be there 90m before departure and gates close 30m before departure. 90m seems like a long time, is this true or is it very conservative?
- Do you still just snake queue into the main terminal? What I really want to understand is whether one adult can queue while the other can take the kids to run around.
Cheers.

When we went in march, almost no queue for security, then not enough seats in the holding area, then a quick queue to the actual train.
-
• #122015
Cheers. That's really helpful.
Did you get there 90m before and how long in the holding pen?
-
• #122016
We did, about half an hour in the pen. You can get onto the train pretty early. It's like how airports should be.

I'm looking at taking out some excess protection insurance for a hire in a week's time.
It'll actually be a campervan I'm renting - The sites I've tried for quotes do not ask for the vehicle type, but I've been told by a couple of people that I need to get a policy which explicitly covers for campervans.
Anyone know and/or have any recommendations?

I'd like to get a bottle of wine delivered to a friend in Paris (ie shipping from France, but I am ordering from the UK), does anyone know of a good shop in France that sells online?
-

Nicolas will do it, or deliver to their local store.

Have you looked at the mse recommendations?
I'll check who I used but I'm sure they asked the type of vehicle.
Edit
Via one of the mse reco comparisons websites then using the mse discount code.

I normally use questor for this type of insurance with hire cars. Looks like they cover motorhomes

I'm building up a supersix hi-mod evo and planning to run tubeless gp5000 str 28c tyres on it.
For wheels I'm thinking of going Light Bicycle and wondering on the most suitable rims based on external width? I'm looking at Light Bicycle AR465 (28mm external) and Light Bicycle WR40 (32mm external)
-
• #122024
Nicolas is a mainstream wine merchant you can use
-
• #122025
I'd do the 32mm external option if you are confident you'd never want to run a 25c or narrower. My Hollowgram Knit 64's are 32 ext. Iirc they are hooked yeah?
