Burnley spent £100m in the summer but that didn't get them anywhere (although Luca Koleosho looked well tidy)
We spent it on the wrong players though. Mainly a succession of lightweight wingers and attacking midfielders with barely any experience. We signed something like 18 players and only 3 had premier league experience and only 1 was over the age of 25 (Nathan Redmond who barely played and then got injured for the season).
The step up is bigger than ever now, but you have to think they will particularly as most of them have been competitive in the Prem recently. Burnley spent £100m in the summer but that didn't get them anywhere (although Luca Koleosho looked well tidy) and the majority of Ipswich's side were with them in League One although they had a small budget in the Championship which will help them in PSR terms. Leicester have PSR issues so may need to sell before they even start to improve their squad (I assume the EFL transfer embargo doesn't apply to the Prem?). It's a brutal league.
