Shes a beaut ! A bit rough so i wouldnt be too afraid to touch it, and tubing is what ? Slx or ?
I mean its your choice really the question will always be does the frame deserve such a groupset, and i think only you can decide on that, i would probably gor retro potenza or athena as you already have to get that all silver look.

Five-Hats identifies the only way it would make sense to do this, but it looks like there's no suitable hole at the end of your chainstay, and you would be left with unused shifter bosses and chainstay cable stop, as I pointed out...
If it was me, I'd be on the lookout for a more contemporary Italian frame in ally or carbon, maybe from the brief era where such things had a 1" head tube if you really want to max out the MGOOF factor. An ally or carbon frame would allow you to delete the mechanical shifting gubbins and add an internal wiring loom a lot more feasibly. (Also, it would be a bit of a shame not to run mechanical on a steel frame; the lovely resonance it adds makes a mechanical shift more satisfying than on a plastic bike or most ally ones.)
Extra points for using a 1" threadless fork and going full internal like my TCR.
Fair comment.
Here is the bike with some closeups.
