yes, Vinted is rife with fakes and duplicated listings. But my surprise was that I bought it on eBay, which is less rife, then the sale was cancelled right away. Seems to be the same seller, so I wondered if there's a known scam where you can sell someone something on ebay, cancel the sale, but still receive the funds, if only for a short period of time?
I know that ebay doesn't pay out until the day after, so that suggests funds from an immediate sale cancellation wouldn't ever reach the seller. but maybe I'm wrong?

I don't know about a scam...isn't it more likely to be not getting the price you originally hoped for, so switching to another platform and hoping to earn more £ (which appears to have worked)
I would be very careful buying stuff on Vinted, make sure you pay the extra buyer protection and remember you only have 2 days to state any issues with an item once received and then Vinted payout to the seller.
