I even have this sacrificial frame (it's had a repair done to the left chainstay) which I'll use to investigate the feasibility of internally routing the brake cable through a 4mm pultruded carbon tube inserted through the top tube... Hoping if I make it a tad shorter than the gap between the existing cable stops, there'll be enough angle on it to minimise the scary holes necessary for it... Looking from the front, it would enter about 7:30 (which would work nicely with the lever for it on my left) and exit around 1:30... I really should get around to crunching the trig for that.
