What's the best way to go between central London and Hoddesdon/Rye Meads? I usually go straight up the A10/1010 because it's the most straightforward, but the traffic gets a bit tiring. Went once following the River Lee but I recall there having been a lot of towpaths which slowed things down, and never did it again!
Yup that's the A1010 I was referring to. Looks like I've got to resign myself to it then! Last time I did the towpaths was on 25mm tires on my first long ride, so mayhap going back with 32s might inspire a bit more confidence.
