I've got a punchy 200km road loop planned leaving from Sheffield but will definitely need the whole day to get around, a up-and-back in a day won't work. Other than the city centre travelodge, are there any nice cheap places to stay as a base heading to the Peaks?
In case anyone is interested in joining the route is below. I think standard HDITP way out of Sheffield but taking in Winnats as well, and heading as far east as Errwood, and then hitting some hills on the way back. Might do a ride / thread if there is interest. Any tips or tricks to make it a bit shorter while keeping it above 15k ft (or above!) also welcome
