However, the filter is mounted on the wall behind the fridge and the whole fridge needs sliding forward to replace it. This is a huge pain.
That's very handy to know, thank you. Esp if I was considering boxing it in. Wonder if it could go on some kind of rail/castor thing. Actually tbh those plastic floor runner things you use to slide in washing machines might work depending on what the feet are like.

Can anyone recommend a silicone/non-stick whisk that doesn't disintegrate after a few months?

Why no stainless?

For the pan or the whisk?

I just want to make my roux sauces and scrambled eggs that bit easier guys

Use a sillicone spatula for both those things

For roux and béchamel sauces, I think the £4 ikea 365 whisk (silicon coated steel) is fine.
For scrambled eggs, I whisk with wooden chopsticks.

La Mere Poulard souffle omelette.
Ludicrously expensive for an omelette (delicious though), gotta pay for all that copper. -

if all the stuff getting whisked just falls off the whisk what will you lick at the end of the creative process ?

That's what the curved silicon spatula is for.

Amateurs.
Anything less than one of these and a bain marie, then you're mugging yourself off.

Copper being essential for a decent peak on egg white.
The food looks great and I'd kill for a whisk with a handle that long, the basic shop ones are always really stubby so require extra wrist flex.

Have you considered wanking training?

I'd kill for a whisk with a handle that long
This would be an easy thing to mod surely?

A whisk, a breaker bar and a roll of gaffa tape. Job's a good 'un.

Omelette <> scrambled egg. Bruh.
Yep, we have a standard size one.
The ice bucket is fantastic, but your alcohol intake will go up. The water is good too, doesn't splash or get on the floor.
However, the filter is mounted on the wall behind the fridge and the whole fridge needs sliding forward to replace it. This is a huge pain.
