Dude that sucks! Did you ask through a dealer or direct? Otherwise could you make a template, as I’m gonna be in the same boat.

Dealer but I bought the bike 2nd hand. They still contacted R&M and the official answer was no. @Rodolfo helped me to get in touch with the German person who made the CNC mount and shipped it.
About to get it installed and then need to source the actual battery mounting hardware.

ok but before you install it can you please make a template? We can machine some more if R&M are being difficult
Also here are the part details for the mounting plates and cables you need https://www.ebike24.com/blog/bosch-dualbattery-compatibility-installation -

I’m considering a Le Petit Porteur as my new daily run around. It will be non electric and probably a derailleur drive chain rather than hub gear.
Likely cargo will be shopping, hand/small power tools and a occasional awkwardly shaped items.
I’ll be keeping in a Cyclehoop locker, need to double check it fits but I think it will squeeze in.
Should I be considering any other brands? The LPP seems like great value for money and I don’t have space to store anything larger like an Omnium.

What’s your budget?
For small / compact cargo I really like the Yoonit and muli cargo bikes. I haven’t checked all the prices but I think it’ll be significantly more expensive than a LPP which could be a deal breaker

actually just snagged myself of aliexpress folders for a little over a tenner. figure they’d be another layer of theft deterrence cos it doesn’t look immediately apparent how to unfold them…

£1500 would be the absolute limit but close to £1000 (or less if I can use parts I already have) would be nice. I’ve seen the Yoonit before and thought it was cool, I think it’s beyond my budget though.
The LPP is more of a utility bike than a dedicated cargo bike but since I don’t have a specific carrying need in mind I think for now I’m better off saving my money.
Maybe if I had something more capable I’d find myself carrying more stuff and love it but right now I can’t see when I’d need loads of capacity.

I've got one if you want to test ride?

Amazing! That would be great, thanks.
If there are any South / South East beers you’re heading to let me know. Or I can pop over sometime and take it round the block.
Did you buy it and ship it direct from LPP?

Neat! What did you use, battery led panels or something else? I’ve been wondering about doing similar using outdoor string lights, the type you see around Christmas string up outside houses but this looks more professional!

5v led neon strip (2m) running of 3 AA battery. Led neon is great, almost as good as the real thing.

Intriguing. Self made or came as a complete unit with battery pack as well?
Bikecad breeds intrusive thoughts.
I think I can make this work.
