All our roses I just pruned back hard and now they’re taking a much better shape, maybe enjoy it for the summer and then do the same? There’s one in our front garden that we basically gave up on, it’s on street view from like 2010 I think, cut it down to nothing and now it’s got some great shoots coming.

You could espalier it against the fence.
I saw somewhere that stems that are horizontal flower more than vertical.

One of my roses has gone extremely leggy. There was a passion flower behind it that I just took out as it had had its day and I think it was hogging all the nutrients. Once I took it out this started blooming like crazy. Any chance of the lower leaves coming back? Anything I should be doing apart from feeding and watering?
