  • Rain with drainage channels into the area and building up the lawn so it gradually dips towards this area rather than the area to the left. Idk how successful it will be long term. Plus now I've built it I've underestimated how much sun it gets in the evening this time of year.

    I'm also hoping the sphagnum moss will take and cover it all to give the visual impression/vibe of a pool of water in the middle. It's meant to hold x20 it's weight in water, so my theory is it will help to reduce evaporation while 'watering' the soil during drier periods.

    We'll see.

    Obviously it's less than ideal that I've finally got round to it when the insane rain has stopped and it's getting sunnier.

    When planting it up at the moment I've just flooded it.
