  • I walked the Pilgrim Roads from Southwark Cathedral to Canterbury Cathedral.
Slept underneath the pews and alters of ancient churches along the way.
    Some photos:

  • super cool, the pilgrimage to rome has a starting off point in canterbury, at the ruined abbey, tempted?

  • Looks a bit of a mess right now but nearly done.
I'll borrow some tools and wire up the RD, then give it to a shop for the hydraulics.
Rear wheel is a stand-in while I get the tubeless to seal on the 650b.

I'd like to get this finished by the end of next week so I can do an overnighter before the end the of May. Fingers crossed but not looking likely with the quality of my wrenching and lack of tools!

Sorry for the crappy pics. I sold all of my camera equipment to hopefully pay for some touring.

  • yeah this is it

  • Is the handlebar loop useful at all? (Aside from hanging a bag from) I can't imagine it being a very good hand position

  • that's amey's bike isn't it ?

tanwalls might finish it nicely ? thought it would destroy the mad max look

  • no! mine died

  • not literally...

  • I'll say this, 99% of wanky bikes posted on here could do with replacing with a Giant Toughroad but this one is actually decent. Still not having drops is sacrilege.

Carbonda with Di2 and carbon wheels was my commuter pre-pandemic, I miss that vibe.

  • literally! TT cracked

  • with Di2 and carbon wheels was my commuter

  • Actually feels quite good when you're on flat tarmac at high power.
Did some Regent's laps on the loop I was definitly moving quicker and keeping pace with the roadies. Could just be my ridiculously high ftp...

As it turns up a little it keeps my hip angle resonable so feels fairly comfortable for distance, but I will need to test that out.

  • Well I have some special tyres on the way :)
Which are 2.2" and the frame/fork only clears 2.1" offically so lets see how that goes..

  • nice rig

  • Sick hybrid

  • If these are the ones you beat me to via the forum, it's going to look pretty special!

  • ah that’s sick

we should link up for hybrid flat bar gravel bike activities
