Have watched the videos on YouTube using a 9v battery, and tried it on some injectors that had been replaced. Not sure if things were better.
Have had better results with dry fuel additive, usually isopropyl alcohol, replacing the fuel filter and hopefully that will get the crap.

Swapped the injectors around and the miss-fire didn't move. Pulled the inlet manifold to access the plugs and when I pulled the cylinder 2 lead from the head it was soaking wet. Pulled the plugs and they're also way past their best. It's running better now but still not perfect. Think I've found the issue. Still, better £60 for 4 spark plugs than £240 for 4 new injectors.
Had a flashback of when I was 17 and swapped my Mk4 RS Turbo for a Renault 19 cabrio and £1500 - it suffered from the same issue. What a POS that car was :D

Are there any extra costs to bear in mound when considering a Japanese car? I’ve got my eye on something but wondered if tax or insurance is inflated?

Saw this and thought of you Dammit. I reckon you could get a few bikes in there and sack off the roof rack.

my insurance isn’t higher but the tax is slightly higher - depends on the year but for JP cars without a CO2 emissions certificate, they aren’t taxed based on emissions but instead classed as PLGs for tax purposes. the emissions-based tax fig and the PLG tax fig is not that much difft for my car

Spotted this near work, and thought "that's loooong?" Turns out it's a 450 SEL 6.9, not many of them about. It needed 12 litres of oil 😅

Renault 19 cabrio
Always thought they were a really nice looking saloon conversion to convertible. Those bumps behind the rear seats especially. Just one on Autotrader and only about 30 on the road. x hundreds more RS turbos, but maybe there is a reason for that.

Always thought they looked great too. When I was little one of my teachers had a navy blue one.

My new daily an E46 318i Sport Touring, this belonged to a good friend Peter Elliott who owned Welling Cycles, his widow always said I would get first chance to buy it when she sold it and now it is mine, good condition for the age and well specced.
My 335i E30 Touring is still going well, ULEZ restricts it to special occaisions so far but we are moving to Whitstable soon and it well get more use down there :)
I finally have a stock of M-Tech 2 tailgate spoilers that I had made as a copy of my original that has finished it off. -

Sorry to hear of the passing of Peter Elliott, a thoroughly nice bloke and a good rider when I knew him in the 80s before I moved South. If the BMW is as well kept as his bikes were it'll be pretty mint.

Are you down there then?
Beautiful place, my Grandparents moved their in the late sixties when we left Camberwell so I spent loads of summer holidays down there as a kid 👌 -

Yes, a lovely bloke, he fixed my bikes and I did his cars, he got ill during lock down and with only phone appointments for a year his cancer was missed until it was too late 😪 sadly his father passed away two months after and his brother Paul took his own life shortly after that 😢 both were good riders, Pete was mechanic on the UK Milk Race and his brother had won our Catford Hill Climb in the past.
