Decathlon just need to come out with brown bibs in ‘galaxy’ next season, after their succsss on the road this year, those bibs would be flying of the shelves, especially if they made a short short version.

Got the MAAP draft wind jacket the other day, was out with it on the weekend. Great bit of kit - though the reviews say they arent vert waterproof, it was windproof and ideal for that sort of 10 to 15 degree temperature and/or big descents.
Sized up to an L (38" chest) and very glad I did.

I can now bust out my old trasé shorts that came up a little short

Checkout cimacoppi.cc. they do merino bib cargo shorts. Small production, good quality and a short fit. Good merino t-shirts too.

have you got these? they look great

Not sure if this is in reply to me, but if it is, yes. I have been impressed. Although an earlier version without the rear bib clip. I also had an extra pocket added to the rear lower back area for a small surcharge. Very comfortable on longer rides.
EU purchases surcharge to be aware of at certain order values.

yeah was meant for you, thanks – what's the pad like?
-
• #6661
Good. By comparison, it has more give to it than the pad in my Pedaled shorts but is firmer than the one in my ale shorts. The thicker part of the padding is a little more rear loaded. It has also lasted better than than those two other brands.
The only area for improvement from my perspective is the way the pad is sewn in. There is more material outside of the stitch than i was expecting. Once worn a few times it was fine though. See pic

Does anybody know the guy who runs Romance and know if he is still active?
Nothing added to their site for ages, but it's still live. Seem to remember he was East London based.

I need some new gloves. For this time of year but I have Raynauds so probably more midweight than lightweight. Not looking to spend loads of money because I'll definitely lose at least one of them at some point. What should I be looking at?

I think these ones are great:

Same, the extra cuff length is great for chillier mornings.

If you don't want padding, the Giro Merino ones are excellent.

They look like they'll do the job, cheers! I've been meaning to pop to Decathlon anyway so will take a butchers.

I like a bit of padding to be honest! Even with my ultra plush cork grips and on low pressure, 38c tyres my hands can get quite numb. I rode the hour home without gloves today and definitely noticed it.

Do you want a pair of these, barely used, for the price of postage?

Oh that'd be great! The only problem is that I have tiny hands so depends on the size. If they're a small I'll gladly take them please, if not I'll leave them for someone else who might find them a better fit.
-
• #6673
They're medium :)
Let me know if still interested -
• #6674
worth noting that decathlon gloves are tiny, their sizing is economical
-

Thanks a lot for the very kind offer but I'll let someone with adult sized hands take you
up on it instead!
I have some Howies shorts from a sample sale that were pretty short. I wore them once coupled with some leg warmers, and they didn't stay together so I looked like I was wearing stockings.
I've been wearing short shorts for running for years, evidence 2017
