  • Just as a taster..

Most Zionists in the world want to see Jews in Israel so the rapture can happen, which will then wipe out all the Jews or force them to convert to Christianity.

  • Most of your original post makes no sense grammatically.

  • Akin to neck beardy cat wahooooz

  • As you throw unpleasant tropes at the wall

  • In a cloud of smegma dust

  • Dank haiku

  • Wut?

  • Your fault. You engaged.

  • With a moron

  • Anything but Islam.

  • These things happen

  • I didn't say they were. But, with the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, there are a lot of US citizens who have an affinity with the Israeli nation and who are active and vocal in lobbying the US Government to support it. On top of that, there are deep commercial ties between major US corporations and Israel, especially in the technology sector, who are also vocal in support.

To simplify US support down to just military alignment is wrong, there's a lot more to it than that.

  • US by proxy in the Middle East

  • Sorry, I didn't mean to imply what you said was wrong. Just that there is another very large consideration that a lot of people overlook.

  • I don’t think the majority of people in the UK realise how religious a very large percentage of Americans are- and how off the deep end some of the sects are.

  • My parents were going to move to America years ago with my dad's job. They did a trial over there to see if they'd like it before moving.

The bloke who would have been dad's boss got really shitty because he wouldn't go to church on Sundays.

He told my dad that his allegiances were :
    1 To his god
    2 To his country
    3 To his family

    We didn't move over there

  • There was an interesting speech given by one of the democratic senators (I think it was) recently about the oath of allegiance only gaining the “before God” bit in the 1950’s.

  • It's not just the US (although I agree the extent is a whole different scale) - there are various remote bits of Scotland with similar types. Some close family members moved up there, joined some church and we've not heard a peep from them in years because we are unbelievers... I am half expecting the first we'll hear is some kind of Waco-type siege on the news.

  • One of my aunts is in a silent order - this is in Malta where the Catholic Church is pretty prevalent. Anyway, my point was that decision making assumptions based on a UK perspective will likely be based upon an incomplete picture if you don’t include in your assumptions that people tithe 10% of their income to their church and it’s a pretty weighty thing in their personal universe

  • Yup and (from the experiences with family above), I have been told that their pastors can pretty overtly tell them who to vote for, etc. - from contacts in the US

(You only need the first 3:49 of the video)

  • Good question, as immigration laws are not devolved.

We may end up with people coming here, but we don't really have much capacity to house people as-is. And then they get stuck in Limbo here, because knowing the Tories they don't care. Problem for NI, great, as nobody here votes Cons anyway. (200 whole votes last time lol)

The anti-immigrant "they get all the houses for free" (yeah those idiots are everywhere) crowd is already venting on social media.

  • It is my understanding from others (when we were trying to find out what exactly has happened to said family members, we had all sorts of conversations about how some of these sects get their claws into people - and then the suggestion "We are supporting X for mayor/sheriff/etc." or stronger at the end of a service = you will vote). I will clarify above.
