My parents were going to move to America years ago with my dad's job. They did a trial over there to see if they'd like it before moving.
The bloke who would have been dad's boss got really shitty because he wouldn't go to church on Sundays.
He told my dad that his allegiances were :
1 To his god
2 To his country
3 To his familyWe didn't move over there

I don’t think the majority of people in the UK realise how religious a very large percentage of Americans are- and how off the deep end some of the sects are.
