We have a dishwasher which we run overnight. Occasionally though there'll be a need for some stuff prior to that so we'll handwash and what's done usually gets heaped in a Pick-up sticks style pile on the grooves cut out of the silestone leading into the sink. It's fine I guess as relatively rare we'll want something. Might get some kind of fold out silicone something that can hide under the sink after a run through the dishwasher and be pulled out when needed.
2 dishwashers. One for cleaned dry stuff, the other for dirty pots. Switch on rotation.
Anything worth hand washing should probably be dried immediately and put away such as nice glasses, fancy knives and cast iron pans.
