We have a dishwasher which we run overnight. Occasionally though there'll be a need for some stuff prior to that so we'll handwash and what's done usually gets heaped in a Pick-up sticks style pile on the grooves cut out of the silestone leading into the sink. It's fine I guess as relatively rare we'll want something. Might get some kind of fold out silicone something that can hide under the sink after a run through the dishwasher and be pulled out when needed.
Grohe do a matching one to our tap so I think that's sorted - now / drying rack that doesn't accumulate all the gunk in the world? And something to put cloths on?
And then crucially steel to support hard floor above an extension.
