Aye it’s all in there favour, I think people like Matt Armstrong have shown that Copart is decent but in reality it’s a fuckin shambles of a company.

What happens when you are a sort of monopoly. Universal was alright and then bought by copart and went down.

Sounds like Copart are best avoided then to be honest... Unless you're trying to bag a bargain on something very new and expensive the amount you'll be saving probably isn't worth the potential grief on bikes...
Have been quite keen on the idea of finding a LC8 engined KTM for a street tracker build... The frame and suspension package on those bikes seems to lend itself to a moderately low effort transformation!
Something like this with some lights and a numberplate looks like a lot of fun.
To be honest an LC8 is probably overkill but would like that twin sound rather than a single... a super cheap LC4 would probably change my mind I guess. -

As a flat-tracker that looks bad, too much engine and cooling kit takes away from the svelte lines of the tank and seat. Not sure the mono shock suits it either.

I know what you mean... a 1200 Sportster might make as much sense but they're annoyingly pricy here in Ireland...
I quite like how aggressive it looks with the KTM actually!

some lights and a numberplate
You'll probably want a front brake too 😁
-
• #25508
Correct, a discrete front mudguard wouldn't go astray either to be honest... while we're at it more than an eggcupful of petrol would be useful too but aside from that just look at it 🥹

Skinny expansion tank under the seat?
-
• #25510
Yeah I think the tank could be a little bit bigger without looking disproportionate and then have some extra capacity under seat.
Wouldn't need huge volume but enough to not just spend days riding from one petrol station to the next... -

Around 1500km of Morocco wrapped up last week. Covered a lot of different terrain, from sand storms and big dunes at 42 degrees in the Sahara, to 3300m mountain passes in the High Atlas.

Best way to get a phone holder onto a sports bike that doesn't have the through nut on the headset?
-
• #25514
Some sort of ram mount, or sugru on a quadlock mount.
I had a quadlock surgru'd to my blackbird and it didn't come off. -
• #25515
That looks class.
-
• #25516
Quadlock although they are expensive im a fan and also make sure you get the anti vibration mount as it fucks the camera if you dont which they dont actually tell you but digging on reddit or forums does.
-
• #25517
I think the mounting is the issue. With clip ons and no head bolt to mount to

More please if you don’t mind.

Don’t, get something like carpuride instead, comes in 5 and 7 inch versions, uses CarPlay (Apple and android), your phone stays safe in a pocket or bag. You still get all your maps, music and call control but without fucking your phone up.
Mounting options include ram ball which opens up and entire world of choice. -

Let me know when it arrives and I’ll deliver it to soul to look after, riding via northern Spain obvs
No idea how they got the weight down so much. It really looks….tiny!
That adaptive suspension makes me wary though.
Dis gone be good! Let us have a go!
