Few casual miles on the Muddy Fox with Mini down to the park. First one of the year, fitted the Carradice bar mounted bag support - it’s a hit! Just wish it had a quick release.
Then today I decided I’d flog myself round a few miles in the sun on the road bike. Ran out of time, plotted a reasonably hilly 50 miles and proceeded to get cramp in my quads from about 20 miles! It’s funny how much it feels like a rocket on new tyres, latex tubes, extensions and gears compared to the fixed commuter.
Had to stop at a pub at the 40 mile mark for a coke, crisps and water. I was getting cramp just on the flats at that point. The sustenance didn’t make much difference but enough to get me home. Wiped out now!
