They have, their was a meeting between the UCI race officials, RCS and Castelli and it was agreed he can continue to wear the magenta shorts.

Was it a bit mad that the Ineos lot went hard yesterday? Considering today they'll likely be needed in numbers...
-
• #49433
A few Ineos riders didn’t go hard yesterday, so it is likely that they will have a role later in the stage today than normal. But they all train to be able to replicate hard efforts over back to back days, so it’s normal for them. Tomorrow is a flat stage then a rest day on Monday, so they can focus on recovery after today’s stage.

To be honest, don’t we all expect another Pogacar win today? If I was Ineos DS, I’d be telling them to focus on keeping Thomas well positioned and out of trouble and let UAE control the race.

Any sign of the TdF road book or real route maps rather than the super-high-level ones?
-
• #49436
Absolutely expect it, which is a shame, he'll probably target the sprint too. It's easy to forget they can go big, day on day.

I'd be surprised. We were trying to get the basic ones out of ASO at work last week, and that was like pulling teeth apparently.

I think touretappe has them at the bottom of every stage description https://www.touretappe.nl/tour-de-france-2024-parcours/

As I understand it, they rarely complete it before June as they leave it late to ensure they know about planned road works and improvements and so on, and have time to make minor modifications to the route to avoid them.

"Since they got rid of those shitty shorts they've been doing really well" thanks Sean Kelly

I know some people are bringing Twitter down one boycott at a time (I successfully destroyed Amazon that way) but the Giro press team are having a good race.

Cian Uijtdebroeks is out, sick. I'm still not convinced that there aren't two Cians Uijtdebroeks, the one you see on the bike and the one that handles the interviews.
I notice that when talking about the Tour and Pogacar's chances all the commentators mention Vingegaard possibly not being there, or not being in top shape, and weirdly never mention Roglic.
love pogi's little pink saddle bag
