You have to download the app and you pay £5 for each 24 hours. I don't think you can hire for longer period in one go, but don't quote me.
I am sure all the bikes on this hire scheme are 'M' type handlebars with 3 speed gearing.

After a Brompton, ideally a S type handlebar, easy on the number of gears. Budget is around the £500 mark but could stretch a bit if needed, or to ‘rent’ one from someone if they have one they’re not using at the moment.
London based but can travel a reasonable distance if you’ve got something promising.
I would have been keen to try Brompton’s rental service but looks like the £50 pay as you go option isn’t being offered at the moment.
