The Kinesis Aithein is a fast paced British designed racing machine.
Stout and stiff Tapered Headtube with Matching tuned full carbon fork.
The Kinesis Aithein is ready to ride fast and take on your local Crit league
Specs:
54cm Aluminium frame and full carbon fork
BB86
31.6mm seat post
34.9 seat clamp
F+F weigh roughly 1500g
I also stripped the “racelight” logo/branding that comes on the lower down tube on these bikes because I thought it was kinda ugly. This was super easy to do with a quick nail polish remover wipe as the branding wasn’t lacquered over or anything like that. It came off super easy, no scrubbing or damage to the frame. I think it looks a lot more clean without the graphic.
The good:
rim brakes
looks sick
mega light (to me anyway)
stiff
big hh potential
demonstrates taste and sophistication in the face of vulgar aero MAMIL chariots
The bad:
rim brakes
Probably wouldn’t clear much more than a 28 though I’ve never actually tried
Here’s the road bike that I bough mid/late last summer which I’ve racked up a grand total of 581kms on since.
