  • Someone should snap that up and that price.

  • If anyone likes my Green Clifton I've got listed but it's slightly over current budget I'm in a good and generous mood for negotiations 😁

  • What's going on in here....

Everyone making a War Chest or summat?

  • nop, still happy with the cheap end here, thanks

  • This is a cycling forum so I imagine everyone has car repair bills and a desire to have a g shock as a one watch stable.

  • I just keep buying dress watches because they're lovely things then remembering I hardly wear dress watches because most of the time I'm a scruffy bastard so trying to gain funds for another GS tough quartz

  • The SBGX343 is rly lovely

  • Happy Friday everyone!

  • Seiko Sports stealth edition

(Not stealthy in the least, it's remarkably shiny for a black watch)

  • I'm eyeing up the white 341 there's a lovely uk one on C24 atm. The 343 is too similar to the one I'm wearing today on a new Vanguard for summer

  • Not remotely stealthy but not shiny either due to titan.

Will likely be for sale soon thanks to looking at other peoples watches on here.

  • To me, these are close to the Platonic ideal of a wrist watch.

  • Hello watch people. I'm not a watch person, but clearing out our house in prep for an imminent move I found my grandfather's old Eterna watch at the back of a drawer. After a quick shake it was back in action and holding time well.

Pretty sure he would have bought it in 70's as it's engraved on the back with his name and 'RAF' so probably bought it towards the end of his career.

Has some light scratches to the crystal and body but nothing major. Biggest issue is the face has some discoloration. My questions for those more knowledgeable than me are, can that be fixed by a watchsmith and what would I expect to pay? Also - how vital is it to have them serviced? It will have been a long time since it's been opened up - if ever.

  • Gotta be honest I really like the face discolouration - shows its history. You CAN get things refaced but often it makes a watch lose a lot of its charm.

I reckon a new crystal and a service would go a long way to making it very very wearable - it's probably dry as arseholes, and could at least do with a lubing - and you can always reface later if you want to.

  • First post on this one.
    Happy Friday

  • Thanks - yeah, it does add a certain charm. Approx how much would I expect to pay for a lube and new crystal and any recommendations? I live in SW London and work central, but maybe postal servicing is best value? I know nothing.

  • P39 kind of friday.

Ive been waiting for a pelagos FXD MN since last feb when I put a deposit down. This is a bit of a piss take now...thoughts?
