Finally found it in Ragusa on marketplace. Looks nice but I need to get rid of my Benotto before I get another.

Ah sorry, don't know why the link did not work for you - it does for me - glad you could find it.

the wrong sort of rock lobster though - there were two. Merlin cycles own brand licenced from USA rock lobster, built in Taiwan, which that is, and the famed Santa Cruz builder, which that isn't. Still a good price for an 853 but not this

This is totally insane.
Etap rear mech as a chain tensioner is amazing.

Indeed! The 853 Merlin frames ride quite nice though, I had one about 10 years back. Shame it didn't have mounts.

Possibly the worst listed bike I've ever seen which also means that you could be getting a CAAD 12 which looks in good nick and with a wheel upgrade for cheap:
-
• #67936
Reckon it's nicked or something?
-
• #67937
No idea but the photos are decent and don't scream stolen bike to me
-
• #67938
It's true with all the shoes and stuff, etc - good deal for somebody
If anybody on here buys it, sell me the saddle bag ;-)

Don't see many of these up for sale...

51cm 😩

Pretty sure that's an optimo. Lesser quality aluminium frame (apparently) fork is different and also no internal cable routing. They generally sell for £150-£250 on eBay stock.

I've just had another look at the photos. I think we're both wrong and it's a Synapse. I'm pretty sure that's what's written on the top tube.
-
• #67948
Still thinking about it. A straight top tube, short drop brakes and no mounts don't strike me as being a Synapse despite the sticker. I think you're right and someone has bizarrely added the Synapse sticker.
Not such a bargain now as you point out

They are defo not synapse forks.

Not a stone cold bargain but a pretty fair starting price for a Pipedream ALICE complete in seemingly excellent condition.

Really nice bikes, but limited clearance. A bit dear currently but might be worth watching if you're into this sort of thing.
