We have separate microchip cat feeders.
For the thinner cat, we've had to put in a microchip catflap into a billy bookcase (with doors) as well as the feeder, to stop the fat cat getting her food.
Is working. He's lost 5% bodyweight in the last month.

What are people's diet tips?
One of our cats is turning into a proper fat bastard, and struggles to get through the cat flap.
It would be comical, if it wasn't such an indictment of our neglect.
We usually feed together them twice a day: mornings with and 85g tray; then a measured scoop of dried food in the evening.
That amount has been the same for years, but now (just) one of the cats is porking out.
Current strategy is to feed them the light version of the dried food and waiting to see if that has an effect.
Any other tips?
