I think we are assuming the the Westerley will not participate in the Interclub, although I'm sure the club would be welcomed back if circumstances change.
I'm not keen on the course - there's just too much traffic.
But now every aspect of the event is up for review, so the venue may well change. My position is that I will do all I can to preserve this (very) non elite event. I do want to keep the handicap team concept, but everything else can change.
As we know, there's a tide in the affairs of men, but we have no tide table and so no way of guessing when ebb will turn to flow. How often has it happened that something recently discarded as worthless old junk is suddenly recognised as a valuable classic?
Chris, not speaking in an official capacity but FYI, I think it's unlikely that Westerley will be featuring in this in future. Post-lockdown the main focus is now online racing plus Hillingdon. There are only a couple of people riding road TTs and there are safety concerns about the Fifield course.
