  • I want a Cian Uijtdebroeks interview every day. He seems to be the nicest and happiest man on earth.

  • Who’s been styling Dan since he came off the GCN merch?

  • Re Uijtdebroeks

Jumbo Visma seem to exclusively be hiring young riders I would want as a son

  • Anyone looking for highlights Dmax 7pm

  • You call that styling 🤔 ?

  • What channel are Matt Stevens and Ned Boulting commentating the Giro on?

  • They do the English language broadcast for RCS which is why they seem to be on offical Giro video clips but nowhere else.

  • They are doing the international feed for race organisation, RCS, so any English-speaking country who doesn't have their own commentary team are likely to be taking it.

  • That was one hell of a sprint by Milan today. He's a monster on a bike. Good luck to anyone hoping to beat the Italians in the team pursuit at the Olympics.

  • ah damn. hoped I could listen to it

  • Anyone know which countries? My VPN is itching to go.
Or how to get on the international feed?

  • Going full dubtap here.
Benji vs Johan is the real Giro thriller.

  • Yes - I'm enjoying that spat.

  • I feel like they’re both making sense yet are at odds with each other

  • :)

I subscribe to the idea that brilliant riders/footballers etc. make terrible DS/team managers because they just don't understand what a struggle it is for everybody else because they could do amazing things so easily. (Rooney, Lampard et al.)

So if you've never ever actually had to do it for real you probably would have way less biases built into your decision-making, ergo armchair DS FTMFW .

  • The real dubtap would never @reply.
When it comes to tactics I stay away from them other than to remember the words of the old Owl of Villareal, Federico Gaul, 'before you eat your own dinner, you have to consult a nutritionist'. As true now as it was then.

  • laporte should sue the local authority for that appalling manhole cover middle of the road

  • Visma riders seem unable to stay on their bikes this race (and indeed season).

  • B > G

  • Nasty crash at the end of the Tour of Hungary first stage. Hope everyone's OK.

In other news, our Cav sits down and stops bothering 50m from the line again. Dunno about anyone else, but I'm beginning to think 'Project 35' is looking a bit unlikely.

  • Did he do the pouty bottom lip thing?
That stops eventually when he gets the confidence back but it’s catch 22 as he needs a win for that to happen.

  • I wasn't watching that closely but he opened up his sprint with 200m still to go, so probably ran out of steam. Not the first time either. Definitely needs a win.

  • As I’ve said before, the only thing I know for certain about Mark Cavendish, is that you write him off at your peril.

  • Yeah, I get that and I'd love to be wrong about it. But at the moment, I can't see him winning unless everyone else falls off.

  • He's finished! :)
