I'm reading this book, it's about a guy from London who is also sick of the UK and wants to leave but then decided to cycle around the country. He meets lots of friendly people and goes through a lot of beautiful old towns.

Such a good read that book. It's about the only book I can reread and not get bored of, and feel inspired.

His other two are also excellent. 'all in this together' in particular.

Anna Hughes's Eat Sleep Cycle is her version of the same from around the same time iirc.
