Yes it does seem a complete lack of respect for the Eredivisie.
As far as his move...he was very close to joining Spurs but did a u-turn at the last minute, some say he only wanted to get a better contract at Feyenoord. So I'd imagine most fans knew he'd leave the next time another big club came along.
Maybe it's best he's a 'dick', as it's unlikely to work out, a la Moyes and Man United.

Does anyone else find it weird that this whole Arne Slot to Liverpool thing is playing out at Feyenoord's press conferences? Is he due to leave them at the end of the season anyway? He seems so pleased with himself and it all feels like a total dick move to me.
Any Feyenoord fans in the house care to chip in?
