I’ve got a route planned for a pubs of Shane MacGowan memorial ride once my snapped Achilles is fully mended and I’m back on the bike, the route could probably double up as a worst pints of Guinness in London ride .
Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit!

We went to The Devonshire last Friday to see what the fuss was about, the Guinness really was very good. It was a nice but pricey £6.90 a pint.

Is that the one in Denham Street?

Yep, opposite Brasserie Zedel

£8.95 at the new arena in Manchester

What's a dbl pint? Is that like; one for now, one for later?
-
• #108
Probably a two pint 'glass', to save you queuing at the bar again (or to encourage you to drink more, who knows)
(I didn't object years ago when I discovered that the Brixton Academy served such things)

Because as we all know, Guinness tastes better as it approaches room temperature.

£3.70 a pint in the Beehive in Newcastle. Independent pub in the Bigg Market that is rammed from 10am until 11pm on any given day.

£3.65 in the Lewisham Tavern, you never need to go to Newcastle again
-

£6.85 at the Constitution in Camden which has been fully gentrified.

this is wild and needs much more media coverage than the cancelled gigs.

I paid £7.05 at the Woolpack in Bermondsey recently. Admittedly not a bad pint but that's absolutely outrageous.

“Really appreciate your business”
Aye, I’ll bet.

1 Carlsberg is dreadful. The 5th has a certain charm though.

Is that an airport?
When I was a lad, etc. The Royal Oak in Vauxhall was THE BEST Guinness in London. In the days when pubs shut between 3 and 5.30 they'd do the loads of pints half filled on the bar thing, all ready for the old Irish fellas coming in off the building sites. I think my long gone mate, Barry, told us about that place, his dad who was an old provo used to drink in there.
Fantastic pint, I seem to recall it was a bit gentrified the last time I was up that way.
